Tracking, in plain words
When someone taps your link (smelloff.in/r/yourhandle), we remember your code on their device for 7 days. If they buy within that window, the sale is yours. If they tap someone else's link after yours, the newest link wins — last click takes the sale.
One honest limitation: Instagram's in-app browser is a sealed box. If someone taps your link inside Instagram but finishes the purchase in Chrome or Safari, the two browsers don't share memory and the sale won't auto-track. Tell your audience to complete the purchase in the same tab — and if a known sale slips through, report it (below) and we attach it by hand.
When commissions approve
A commission appears the moment the order is placed, as pending. It becomes withdrawable 7 days after the order is delivered. That gap exists because of returns: roughly a fifth of COD orders in India come back, and paying out on placed orders would sink the program for everyone.
Why reversals happen
If an order is returned to origin (RTO) or refunded, its commission reverses. Every reversal on your earnings page carries a written reason — no silent deductions, ever.
The payout schedule
Once you request a withdrawal, it's paid within 24 hours — by UPI or bank transfer, your choice — with the reference number emailed to you as a receipt. Minimum withdrawal is ₹500 — except your first payout ever, which unlocks at ₹100 so you see real money fast. Every completed payout is public on the payouts wall.
Before your first payout we confirm your link is actually in your Instagram bio — a 30-second human check that keeps the program clean for everyone earning honestly.
“Why didn't my sale track?”
The four real causes, in order of likelihood:
- The buyer switched browsers. Tapped in Instagram, bought in Chrome. The in-app browser doesn't share storage. Fix: use “Report a missed sale” on your earnings page with the order ID — we attach it manually.
- The 7-day window expired. They tapped your link two weeks ago. The sale isn't attributable to anyone.
- The order is still pending. COD orders confirm on delivery. Pending isn't missing — check your earnings page; it shows the expected approval date.
- Someone else's link was tapped after yours. Last click wins. It works in your favor exactly as often as against you.

Tax (only if you earn well)
Once your payouts cross ₹15,000 in a financial year we ask for your PAN, and payouts beyond ₹20,000/year require it — that's Indian TDS law (Section 194H), not our policy. PAN is stored encrypted and shown masked.
